Term 2 Week 6 - Reminders and notices for the week beginning 6 June … In the Science newsletter sent out with last week’s general newsletter we mentioned that next week is Science and Technology week. The very popular road show, ‘Science in a Van’ will be visiting our school on Wednesday 14 June. The whole school will watch a 20-minute show to ignite interest and then each syndicate will receive a 40-minute show customised to the age and level of the children. Junior Syndicate: What’s the Matter? (Sates of matter and the periodic table) Middle Syndicate: Move It (Newton’s three laws of motion) Senior Syndicate: Billy Goats Gruff (friction and force) The cost per child is $4. This can be paid at the office or can be paid via internet banking: 12 3053 0370789 00 (please ensure you put your child’s name and Science Van as the reference) This week we have attached a newsletter from the English Curriculum team. Ngā mihi nui Jennie Stewart (Principal) Community Notice Illuminated All-Wheels Parade - A free family-friendly parade under Auckland’s Matariki night sky for bikes, wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, e-bikes is being held this Saturday 10 June, starting at The Cloud and winding around the waterfront to Silo park. Everyone of all ages and abilities can join in. Light up your wheels (and yourself) and be guided by illuminated floats. Music and performances will entertain along the way.
