Term 2 Week 10 - Reminders and notices for the week beginning 3 July … Today we are sending home information about the student-led parent conferences that will be held at the beginning of next term on 2nd and 3rd August. This will be sent home with the eldest child in each room (also attached to this email). Please phone the office if you do not receive the information sheet. Mid-Year reports will come home at the end of Week 1 next term for you to review prior to the conferences. This week all children will be given information about the Find-out-a-thon i.e. the questions to research and the sponsors sheet. We appreciate your support of this PTA Fundraiser, which also promotes extending children’s general knowledge. Please ensure that all library books and reading books are returned before the end of this week. Term 2 finishes at the usual time of 3 pm this Friday 7th July. Term 3 commences on Monday 24th July. For the first 8 days of next term the Life Education Caravan will be at Sunnybrae. The Life Education Trust is a health-based education resource that aims to help children develop respect, understanding and appreciation of the human body and to learn about preventative substance abuse and what good substances are needed for a healthy lifestyle. The cost is $6 per student – this can be paid at the office or straight into our bank account if you prefer: 12 3053 0370789 00 Special thanks to the children from Rooms 6 and 18 and their teachers Anna Blair and Tim Horne for hosting our Assembly on Friday, we really enjoyed their items about the importance of learning the Key Competencies. Thanks also to the Orchestral group and their teacher Bronwyn Babbage for their items. It has been another busy and rewarding term, with our students’ learning at the centre of everything we do. Thanks to all of our staff for their enthusiasm and genuine interest in the children; their progress and wellbeing is important to us.
