Dear Parents/Caregivers, Thank you to our Year 1 and 2 parents who together with the teachers of Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 14, 15 and 16 are piloting an eportfolio called Seesaw this year. Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and students to record and share what is happening in the classroom. It gives students a place to document their learning in a creative manner using technology. Each student receives their own portfolio and will add items such as photos, videos, drawings or notes. When there are new Seesaw posts, families can be notified via app notification, email or SMS. Parents can then respond to the post using a written comment or an audio recording. As security is very important, parents can only see their own child’s work and all data is safe and secure. A group of the Junior Syndicate parents came to the school to provide feedback to Mrs Carolyn Hutton and Miss Kelsey Robinson who are leading the pilot. I had the pleasure of joining this group and I found the comments and suggestions most insightful.
