4 February 2019 Kia ora koutou Welcome to the 2019 school year at Sunnybrae Normal School. It was lovely to see the children on the first day of school, Monday 4th February. Students are to arrive daily between 8:30 and 8:45 am wearing their summer uniform including their Sunnybrae hat. Please collect your child at 3:00 pm from a prearranged location other than the Bus Bay. Please do not drop off or pick up students from the Bus Bay at the front of the school but instead use Sunnybrae Road, Ellen Avenue or Northgrove Avenue. This would help immensely with traffic congestion and for the safety of our children. After-school care is available in the school hall. If you are interested, please contact the YMCA North Shore (09 480 7099). Students need to bring the following daily: - brain break snack (fruit or vegetable only) / morning tea / lunch - water bottle - swimming togs / towel Please ensure your children have the necessary stationery. An information pack was sent home at the end of the first day with the eldest/only child from each Sunnybrae family. We are looking forward to a successful, rewarding and action-packed school year.
