Term 1 Week 11 - Reminders and notices for the week beginning 10 April … Parent-teacher conferences - these will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) after school and on Wednesday from 1.30 pm. All students must be picked up at 12.30 pm on Wednesday as supervision is not available after that time. If you haven’t made a time yet please contact the office - 09 443 5058. Kiwi English, Maths and Science tests - Two weeks ago information was sent home with Years 5 & 6 students re the Kiwi English, Maths and Science tests being conducted by the University of Canterbury. Payment for these is due by the morning of Thursday 13 April. No late entries will be accepted. Thank you to the following parents who helped with the PTA sausage sizzle on Friday: Anna Jung, Anne Jacobs, Mia Kim, Jeehye Kim, Beith Railton, Sin Hooi Lee, Dee Cuttance, Amy Emms, Sanghu Sim and Eun Kang; we really appreciate your time and support. Thank you to everyone who came along to join us for our special assembly to farewell Cathy O’Hanlon on Friday; Cathy loved the assembly. Special thanks to the students from Rooms 12 and 14, the Senior Choir and Tuakana Kapa Haka group members who performed for us; we were very proud of you all. Thanks also to the following staff for their involvement – Mary Waters, Geeta Naran, Leanne Barlow, Karen Rodger and Belinda Sutherland. Congratulations and well done to the following students who should have received certificates at Assembly on Friday, we apologise for this slip-up and would like to acknowledge them today instead – Jessica Wang, Rosalynn Tuinukuafe, Korban McKinlay and Raymond Lao from Room 19 and Arielle Hopkinson, Delton Peou, Abigail Bartlett and Derk Wu from Room 8. Weetbix Tryathlon – well done to the following children who took part in this event recently: Ruby Railton (Rm 11), Caleb Coombe (Rm 19), Brayden Fitzgerald (Rm 8), Poppy Snow, Indiana Snow (Rm 9), Zach McNeil (Rm 18), Will Thornley (Rm 17), Abigail Bartlett (R19), Lily Robertson (R10), Annabel Barlow (Rm 9) and Simon Jacobs (Rm 8).
